Explore Dora the explorer with your little explorer
My daughter loves learning and discovering new things. The world is her oyster and I really enjoying seeing her explore it. Almost every day, she and I sit down and watch Dora the Explorer. I think my daughter likes the show because she can relate to Dora.
Dora is an inquisitive, 7 year old little girl who engages her audience through adventures. My daughter actually feels like she is part of the quest and helps Dora and her friends solve problems and navigate the journey. At the end, Dora invites her viewers to celebrate their success with a cheer! I love watching my daughter feel like she solved the clues and helped Dora find her way.
I also like the educational parts of the show. During each episode, the kids are introduced to some Spanish words. My daughter’s Spanish vocabulary is growing and she wants to learn more. In addition, the show is very active and encourages kids to get off the couch. My daughter even knows how to turn on the satellite tv dvr by herself so she won’t miss a minute of Dora.
